Chatzialexiadis fine papers: Swatch book for speciality papers

Printing: On the hard cover offset four colour CMYK print was used on both sides of each individual set of the swatch book with clear hot foil stamping on the spine. For the interior pages-sheets we used mainly pantone black and in some cases pantone metallic silver and fluorescent pantones. Also hot foil stamping with different colors , silk screen printing and digital printing depending on the thickness and the type of the material was also used. On the case one color pantone black was used.

Finish: Matt UV Varnish on both sides of the hard cover. Punch holes were created for the nickel screws and crease lines in order to properly fold. Also duplexing was applied for the creation of a 800gr. hard cover. Die cutting on the external case.

Binding: To achieve the desired outcome of having each individual set fully rotate with ease, nickel screws are utilized. Each sheet in every set is meticulously arranged and synthesized by hand. This manual process is necessary due to the varying types of materials and weights of paper, which an automatic machine may not be able to handle effectively.

Papers: Acrodesign Bianco 400gr. for the hard cover by Fedrigoni and over 800 different speciality and commodity papers were printed for the creation of the whole swatch book.
